FSA Board Meetings

We are a non-Ministerial government department so we are governed by a Board, rather than directly by Ministers.

Our Board is chaired by Professor Susan Jebb and has up to 12 members. They are responsible for the overall strategic direction of our organisation.

As transparency is a guiding principle for the Food Standards Agency and key to maintaining public confidence, you are able to watch our board meetings..

Due to pre-election restrictions on communications, the June 2024 Board meeting did not take place in public and was not available to view live. The recording of the meeting and the papers are now available to view.

Due to pre-election restrictions on communications, the June 2024 Board meeting was not available to view live. The recording of the meeting is now available, as are the board papers for the meeting.

Submit a question to the FSA Board

Due to pre-election restrictions on communications, the papers for the June 2024 FSA Board meeting were not published until 5 July 2024. Therefore, we could not accept questions ahead of the meeting on Wednesday 19 June 2024. However, we welcome questions for the Board now the papers are published.

Questions should relate to the Board papers. These will receive a written reply within 20 working days of this form closing on Tuesday 16 July 2024. Replies will also be published on the relevant FSA Board Meeting page.

If you have a question within the FSA’s remit that does not relate to a paper on the FSA Board meeting agenda, you can send this to us via our usual channels for enquiries: https://fsa-services-eng-forms.food.gov.uk/general-enquiry

You can submit your questions up to 5pm on Tuesday 16 July 2024. After this date, you will not be able to submit questions and the form will close. Please only submit your questions once.
