All food and animal feed businesses, local authorities and other enforcement authorities responsible for undertaking official controls.  The consultation may also be of note to other stakeholders with an interest in food and feed hygiene and safety law that applies to Northern Ireland. 

About this consultation

This consultation concerns the proposed amendments to Northern Ireland domestic legislation relating to official controls and other official activities performed to ensure the application of food and feed law, and to technical amendments to food and feed hygiene and safety law that applies in Northern Ireland.

Purpose of the consultation

To seek stakeholders’ views and comment in relation to:

• The proposed amendments to Northern Ireland domestic legislation on official controls and other official activities performed to ensure the application of food and feed law, and to technical amendments to food and feed hygiene and safety law that applies in Northern Ireland.
• Our assessment of the impact associated with the implementation of these amendments into Northern Ireland domestic law.
