A consultation on an updated compliance framework to primary production official control inspections at registered dairy establishments in England and Wales.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) is seeking stakeholder comments on a proposal to apply an updated compliance framework to primary production official control (OC) inspections completed by FSA at registered dairy establishments in England and Wales and subsequent use of this framework to dictate the frequency of the next inspection.
This consultation will be of most interest to:
- Registered dairy establishments in England and Wales
- Raw milk processors
- Dairy/milk trade organisations
- Consumers of dairy products
- Enforcement authorities
Consultation subject
The FSA is seeking stakeholder comments on a proposal to apply an updated compliance framework to primary production official control inspections completed by FSA at registered dairy establishments in England and Wales and subsequent use of this framework to dictate the frequency of the next inspection.
Purpose of the consultation
To provide interested parties with the opportunity to comment on:
- Proposed changes to how final compliance ratings are applied following primary production OC inspections completed by the FSA at registered dairy establishments in England and Wales
- Subsequent use of a new risk rating framework with additional inspections for higher risk establishments.
