Amending allergen information provisions contained within domestic food information legislation for food prepacked for direct sale
We welcome stakeholder views on proposed changes to the provision of allergen information on food prepacked for direct sale. This consultation is jointly developed by the Food Standards Agency in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, Food Standards Scotland, DEFRA and the Department for Health and Social Care.

Subject of the consultation
This consultation provides four policy options to improve the provision of allergen information to consumers on foods which are prepacked for direct sale.
Purpose of the consultation
To provide interested parties with the opportunity to comment and feedback on the proposed changes to the domestic Food Information Regulations 2014 (FIR) (England) and parallel FIR regulations in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. These relate to allergen information for foods that are prepacked for direct sale to the consumer.
