The Cotswold Brewing Company Limited is recalling Hawkstone Black and Hawkstone Spa Lager because they contain undeclared wheat (gluten) which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, or with coeliac disease.

Action taken by the company

The Cotswold Brewing Company Limited is recalling the above products from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products. Please see the attached notice.

Our advice to consumers

If you have bought any of the above products and have an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, or with coeliac disease, do not consume them.
