Update 1: Damasgate Wholesale recalls Sofra Garlic Powder because of undeclared peanut

Damasgate Wholesale is recalling Sofra Garlic Powder because it contains peanuts which are not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts.

This recall has been updated to include all batches of garlic powder.

Action taken by the company

Damasgate Wholesale is recalling the above products from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products. Please see the attached notice.

Our advice to consumers
