Dr Christine Kennedy - Member of the Northern Ireland Food Advisory Committee

Dr Christine Kennedy has much experiencenin the agri-food industry. She was brought up on a farm and is now a partner in her family’s dairy and beef farm.
She has completed research into the dairy industry in Northern Ireland and was awarded a DPhil. She was Director of Food and Commodities with the UFU and was responsible for all aspects of food promotion and consumer issues. Her contribution to agriculture was recognised when she was awarded an O.B.E for services to the agriculture industry in Northern Ireland. She was a member of the Food Strategy Implementation Panel and AFBI.
She has a keen interest in education and has served as a school governor since 1996. She has been an Independent assessor for CPANI for over 15 years and acts in a similar role for PWC and the Northern Ireland Policing Board. She is the Chairperson of the Northern Ireland Advisory Panel of the NFU Mutual Insurance Company.
