Dr Michael Johnston - Member of the Northern Ireland Food Advisory Committee

Mike is a former CEO of the Dairy Council for Northern Ireland.  He has an MA and PhD from Ulster University, as well as an honorary DSc from the University, where he was a visiting Professor at the Ulster Business School.  He is a former Chair of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (global) and is an Honorary Fellow of CIM.  He is a past President of the International Milk Promotion Group of the International Dairy Federation as well as former Chair of its Standing Committee on Marketing.  Mike is a former Chair of CAFRE’s College Advisory Group.  He received an MBE in the 2016 New Year’s Honours for his services to the dairy industry.
