Action taken by the company
Waitrose Ltd has recalled the affected batch from sale. Point of sale notices have been displayed in stores informing customers to the reasons for the recall and the actions they should take if they have purchased the affected product. In addition, Waitrose Ltd has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their at-risk members of the recall. A copy of the point-of-sale notice issued by Waitrose Ltd is attached below.
No other Waitrose Ltd products are known to be affected.
Advice to consumers
Customers with a fish allergy are advised not to eat this product.
