Action taken by the company
Asda Stores Ltd. has withdrawn all affected stock from sale. Point-of-sale notices are displayed in all stores informing customers of the reason for the withdrawal and the actions they should take if they have purchased the affected product. In addition, Asda Stores Ltd. has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their at-risk members of the withdrawal.
No other Asda products are known to be affected.
Advice to consumers
Customers with an allergy or intolerance to eggs should not consume this product but return it to the nearest Asda store where they will receive a full refund.
