Young people in Northern Ireland
FSA Northern Ireland has worked with schools and universities to find out young peoples’ attitudes to food, and produced support materials to help them make healthy and safe food choices when they leave home. A number of fun games are also available for primary school and post primary school children, as well as other teaching resources.

Food competences for young people
Food competences can help young people to choose, cook and eat safe healthy food. The food competences are set out as a framework of core skills and knowledge for children and young people. This helps to set out the essential building blocks so that schools and community-based organisations can provide young people with a consistent set of food skills and knowledge.
