Counting Calories
The Food Standards Agency in Northern Ireland has launched a pilot scheme that will see local food businesses displaying calorie information on menus.

Food Standards Agency in Northern Ireland was launched on 3 April 2000 and is accountable both to Parliament and the Northern Ireland Assembly. Our commitment is to improve food safety and standards and protect the health of the population in Northern Ireland in relation to food.
The officials who carry out the Agency's work in its Belfast office are the Director Northern Ireland (Gerry McCurdy), a deputy director, senior management team and some 40 members of staff with a range of policy and professional expertise.
