Microbiological safety committee seeks members

The Advisory Committee on the Microbiological Safety of Food (ACMSF) is seeking four new specialist members: a food retailer, an epidemiologist, a virologist and a food microbiologist.
The ACMSF is an independent expert committee that advises the Agency on the microbiological safety of food. Members are not salaried, but receive a fee for attendance at meetings and reimbursement of reasonable expenses.
The successful candidates will have experience of working in public health epidemiology, food microbiology, virology or food retailing and have a track record of working effectively with others in committee meetings.
Candidates must also:
- be strong team players
- have good communication skills
- have good analytical and problem solving skills
- be able to apply personal expertise to the development of advice on microbiological food safety issues
