Take a hint - attend a tips session
Friday 16 July 2010
The Procurement team and Social Science Research Unit are hosting ‘hints and tips’ sessions for potential suppliers. The first will be held in London on 26 July and the second in Edinburgh on 27 July 2010.
This session is for anyone who would like to know what the Agency expects in a tender document, and wants information about the procurement process and how procurement is carried out in the Agency. It is being held now because the Social Science Research Unit is about to embark on the procurement of a Framework for Social Science Research through the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) Restricted process but the information will also be of wider interest. It is anticipated that the OJEU notice will be issued in early August.
The format for the session will be:
- Introduction to the Social Science Procurement Project
- An overview of how the Agency approaches procurement (the process)
- What the Agency expects in a pre-qualification questionnaire and tender responses (hints and tips)
- How tender documents are evaluated
- What you should expect if you are awarded a contract
- Questions and discussion
The sessions are free of charge but spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The London event will be held at 2pm on 26 July 2010 the Agency’s London office, 125 Kingsway, London WC2B 6NH. The Edinburgh event will be held from 12pm on 27 July 2010 at location still to be confirmed. If you want to attend please e-mail Gerard.Melder@foodstandards.gsi.gov.uk with details for us to arrange building passes / lists of attendees.
