Agency's conference available to view online

The Agency's conference, 'FSA10: Ensuring safe food and healthy eating for all', is now available as video-on-demand and as a podcast. You can also read all of the comments that consumers and stakeholders submitted online to the conference during the live webcast.
Key stakeholders and politicians from across the UK took part in yesterday's conference, which featured a keynote address by Agency Chair Jeff Rooker.

Agency Chief Executive Tim Smith introduced an interactive session on 'Safe food and healthy eating for all', which looked at the best ways to deliver the Agency’s Strategy for 2010–2015.
Health Ministers from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland discussed the public health challenges associated with food in their different countries. Robert Madelin, Director General of the European Commission’s health directorate, will provide an EU perspective, while Paul Bettison, Chair of the Local Authorities Coordinators of Regulatory Services, will provide the view from local authorities.
Professor Douglas Kell, Chief Executive of the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council was on the panel with Dr Steven Walker of Campden BRI and Dr Philip Davies of Oxford Evidentia for a debate led by Agency Chief Scientist Andrew Wadge on the science underpinning the Agency’s strategy.
The consumer perspective was discussed in a session with Sue Davies, Chief Policy Officer at Which? and Gwyn Burr, Customer Director at Sainsbury’s.
