Setting standards in food analysis conference

A scientific conference on food analysis is being held jointly by the Agency and the Laboratory of the Government Chemist at the end of this month.
'Setting standards in food analysis', which will address scientific developments in food safety, authenticity and analysis, takes place on 28 and 29 April at the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms in central London.
The first day of the conference will include a session focusing on scientific methods to verify food labelling, developed as part of the Agency's authenticity research programme. There will also be sessions by a variety of scientists and policy officials from industry, research bodies and the referee analyst.
