Update on recall of batches of Crawford's Bourbon Cream Biscuits

The Agency has issued an updated Food Alert for Information in relation to the recall by United Biscuits of batches of its Crawford's Bourbon Cream Biscuits because of possible contamination with metal. Further products have been recalled by the company as a precautionary measure.

United Biscuits will be issuing a product recall notice in the national press on Saturday 3 November 2007. This notice advises customers of the reason for the recall and explains that if they have bought any of the affected products, they can return them for a full refund.
A customer helpline has been set up on 0500 011710 and is operational from 9am to 5pm.
