The FSA in Wales has received the Gold FairPlay Employer Award from Wales’s leading gender equality charity, Chwarae Teg. The award recognises the FSA’s ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where all employees can flourish.

The Agency in Wales has been working with Chwarae Teg over the past year and has benefitted greatly from the guided support and improvement advice they offer as part of the FairPlay Employer Scheme. The innovative Scheme also reviews and recognises gender equality and inclusion in the workplace and benchmarks organisations across four levels: bronze, silver, gold and platinum.

After submitting all necessary evidence and conducting a gender and diversity survey of colleagues, the FSA in Wales outperformed in each of the 10 areas assessed and is the first organisation in Wales to be awarded the Gold Award.

Nathan Barnhouse, Director of FSA in Wales said:

“I am proud and delighted to have our commitment to gender equality and inclusion recognised by Chwarae Teg. We’re passionate about ensuring gender equality and strive to provide a fully inclusive and supportive workplace for all.”

Sioned Fidler, Welsh Language Manager and founder of the FSA in Wales Wellbeing group said:

“It has been a pleasure to work with Chwarae Teg in securing the Gold FairPlay Employer Award and I look forward to working more closely with the charity as we explore how to build on our success.

“We will continue to encourage, enable and inspire women to achieve their full potential here at the FSA in Wales.”
