October 2009 update on Regulation (EC) No 1925/2006 on the addition of vitamins and minerals and of certain other substances to foods

This letter reminds interested parties about the end of the transition period for the use of substances not listed in the annexes of Regulation 1925/2006.

Food businesses that want to submit dossiers to the European Commission, for the addition of vitamins or minerals, or other forms of vitamins and minerals, to the lists of permitted substances in the European regulation, should inform the Food Standards Agency by Wednesday 11 November 2009. All dossiers should be submitted to the European Commission, via the Food Standards Agency, by Monday 30 November 2009.
