Non-permitted colours in spices: Guidance note

Guidance to help food companies that use spices to minimise the risk of products adulterated with non-permitted colours entering the food chain is available. Controls on the import of chilli, chilli products, curcuma and palm oil fall under Regulation (EC) 669/2009 (as amended).
EC Decision 2005/402/EC, which previously controlled the importation of chilli, chilli products, curcuma and palm oil, was revoked on 25 January 2010.
