Executive Summary
The Authority was generally providing an efficient and well-managed food and feedingstuffs law enforcement service. A wide range of enforcement options had been used, alongside an evident willingness to work with businesses to help prevent problems before they arose.
An effective food and feedingstuffs enforcement service requires an accurate and up to date data management and information system. Although the Authority has a system, it needs to urgently address and rectify the significant local deficiencies that were identified at the time of audit.
