Service Plan - The Authority has produced a Food Service Plan, which meets the requirements of The Standard and has carried out a comprehensive review of the previous year’s plan.
The Authority’s Strengths
Food Safety Promotion - The Authority are actively implementing food safety promotional activities.
Equipment - The Authority has made available all necessary equipment to permit all activities associated with the Service to be carried out.
Food Premises Database - A check on the accuracy of the database showed that 11 out of 11 businesses randomly selected had been entered on to the database.
Key Areas for Improvement
Facilities and Equipment - The procedure requires to be reviewed.
Facilities and Equipment - At present the database cannot provide reliable information on the Authority’s food standards enforcement activity.
Food Premises Database - The administration and maintenance of the database requires to be reviewed.
Reports - Reports left with proprietors following food standards inspections do not cover all areas required by Code of Practice No 8.
