Local authority official controls in approved meat products establishments audits
The Agency will be carrying out a programme of audits to assess the effectiveness of official controls implemented by local authorities at approved meat products and minced meat preparation establishments.
In considering the effectiveness of these controls; the audit evaluates the appropriateness of approvals, compliance of the approvals process with legal requirements, the Food Law Code of Practice and official guidance, delivery of routine official controls in approved establishments, the reactive elements of the authorities approved establishments responsibilities and related aspects of the service.
