Audit of imported feed control arrangements at ports and inland authorities
These audits examined port health authority and local authority systems and procedures for control of imported feed and, where relevant, inland imported feed at ports of entry (sea and air) and at inland authorities in ten geographically representative authorities in Great Britain.
This summary report records the key findings and areas of activity where audit recommendations were made during the programme of 10 audits and four structured meetings in England, Scotland and Wales carried out between January and March 2011. The authorities were selected to represent a geographical sample of different types of local authorities responsible for the official control of imported feed at points of entry by inland local authorities, taking account of local authorities selected for previous FSA feed audits and a mission in 2009 by the European Union Food and Veterinary Office to assess UK feed controls..
