Erewash Borough Council

The Authority had developed and was implementing a range of procedures, which formed a very comprehensive and effective programme of quantitative and qualitative internal monitoring of all aspects of their food law enforcement activity. The effectiveness of the monitoring was evident in file checks carried out during the audit, where comprehensive records provided clear evidence of a consistently high level of performance by all members of staff.

The Authority also had a longstanding involvement in the Derbyshire Food Liaison Group�s IAA scheme. The majority of the recommendations raised during IAA had been addressed and there was a commitment by the Authority to implement the outstanding actions.
