Risk:
McCain Foods (GB) Ltd is recalling all batches of the Sweet Potato with Rosemary and Garlic (400g) as the product potentially contains pieces of grit that became embedded within the sweet potato during harvesting. The pieces of grit are very small and not considered to be harmful.

Action taken by the company:
The company has recalled the affected product from consumers and issued a press release. Point-of-sale notices have also been issued explaining the reason for recall and the actions consumers can take if they have bought the affected product. A copy of the product recall notice issued by McCain is attached to this notice.
No other McCain products are known to be affected.
Advice to consumers:
If you have purchased McCain Sweet Potato with Rosemary and Garlic (400g), do not consume the product. For refund or replacement information please refer to the attached recall notice.
