Tesco Stores Ltd recalls Oriental Special Fried Rice due to incorrect date coding

Tesco Stores Ltd has recalled one batch of its own brand of Oriental Special Fried Rice, due to an incorrect 'use by' date being given. The incorrect 'use by' date applied was 31 February 2009 and it should have been 31 January 2009.

Tesco Stores Ltd has recalled the affected batch and has issued point-of-sale notices to be displayed in stores. These notices advise customers of the actions they can take if they have already purchased the affected product.

The product recalled is:

• Tesco Oriental Special Fried Rice, 300g
• Use by: 31 February 2009

No other Tesco Stores Ltd products are known to be affected.
