The public will wish to be aware that Heinz is recalling a certain batch and date code of Heinz 100% Apple and Pear purée baby food due to leaking pouches.
The implicated product mentioned below is being recalled. Product recall notices will appear in national press as of tomorrow, Wednesday 23 December. Point-of-sale notices will also be displayed in those stores that stocked the affected product. These notices alert customers to the recall and advise them of what actions to take if they have purchased the product. A copy of the product recall notice can be viewed via the link below.

Heinz 100% Apple and Pear Purée
Plastic pouches 4x90g
Batch code: L9286
Best before: 11/01/11
No other Heinz products are known to be affected.
