Risk: Due to an error, Sainsbury’s Italian Mushroom Risotto has been manufactured with a sauce containing wheat gluten and chicken which are not declared on the ingredients list. This makes the product a potential health risk for people with an allergy to wheat or who are gluten intolerant.

Use By: All codes up to and including the 14 SEP 2008
Action taken by the Company: Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd has recalled the product and contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, who will inform their at risk members of the recall. Notices are being displayed in all stores to alert consumers to the reasons for the recall, and the actions they can take if they have purchased the product.

Advice to consumers:
Customers with an allergy to wheat or who are gluten intolerant are advised not to eat the product.

Use By up to and including 14th Sept
We have been notified that a batch of this product has been incorrectly manufactured with a sauce containing wheat gluten and chicken. Neither of these are labelled on the packaging.
Only products with a Use By date up to and including 14th Sept are affected.
If you have purchased this product and are at all concerned, please bring it back for a full refund.
No other products or codes are affected by this issue. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
