Waitrose recalls certain batch codes of its own brand Perfectly Balanced Beef Hot Pot ready meal due to possible metal contamination

Waitrose has recalled certain batches of its own brand Perfectly Balanced Beef Hot Pot 400 g due to the possible presence of small pieces of metal thought to have originated from a metal clip.

Waitrose has undertaken a product recall of the affected batches. Product recall notices have appeared in the National Press on 18 January 2006 and point-of-sale notices will be displayed in all stores. These notices will advise customers of the reason for the recall and the actions they can take if they have already purchased the affected product.

The affected product is:
Waitrose Perfectly Balanced Beef Hot Pot 400g
Display Until: 18/01/06
Use by: Between 18/01/06, and 22/01/06 inclusive.
No other batch codes of this product are known to be affected.
