Effectiveness review
The Board of the Agency, in line with best governance practice, regularly reviews its own effectiveness.
The executive summary of the most recent review, conducted by external independent consultants, KAM Strategy, during the autumn of 2008, is attached below.
This review was conducted through in-depth 1:1 interviews with staff, including the Executive Management Board and a selection of external stakeholders. It is a positive report, recognising the strengths and strong performance of the Agency's Board, although it also identifies some areas in which there remained scope for improvement. As part of its remit, the Board's Succession and Development Committee programme in the coming year will include Board development work identified in the report.
