Norma is a member of the Welsh Government’s Food and Drink Wales Industry Board. She is the former Chair of Tai Calon Community Housing in Blaenau Gwent and was also previously a member of Welsh Water and a regulatory panel chair and member for Social Care Wales.
Norma’s interest in and passion for Welsh Food and Drink has remained with her since her time as the Welsh Government Senior Civil Servant responsible for the strategic development and marketing of the food and drink production and processing sectors. This involved developing policies and programmes for the whole of the supply chain to support business growth in national and international markets. She was particularly instrumental in opening up the market for red meat in the Middle East in partnership with Hybu Cig Cymru. Norma Has also been involved with safeguarding public health by developing policies to combat the spread of animal and plant diseases.
Norma has a Doctorate in Leadership and Change Management and has been the author of management books.
